Dr. S. Vineeth is an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (2013 Batch, Tamil Nadu Cadre). A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), he began his field career as Assistant Secretary, NHIDCL, Government of India, before serving as Sub Collector, Palani.

He subsequently served as Managing Director, INDCOSERVE (Nilgiris), Joint Managing Director, TANGEDCO, and District Collector, Tiruppur (2021–2023). He thereafter served as Managing Director, Aavin (TCMPF) across Tamil Nadu.

He presently serves as Project Director, Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project at the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is a flagship reform initiative driving improvements in access, quality, and system performance across the state.

He is particularly known for his focus on institutionalizing quality, leveraging data for decision-making, and aligning service delivery with population health needs. His work reflects a steady approach to embedding long-term system improvements rather than short-term fixes.
