Prof. Bhuputra Panda, a Public Health Specialist by training, holds a doctoral degree in Public Health from TISS, Mumbai. He has about two and a half decades of progressively drawn experience in academics, research, and public health practice. Dr. Panda has demonstrated thematic expertise on adolescent reproductive health, child health, community trials, health systems, and health services research. His work on the evaluation of malaria control programs in Odisha, implementation of tobacco control, and policy development on women’s health has all contributed significantly to national and sub-national program reforms. He has collaborated with many international and national donor agencies, UN agencies, Ministries at the national and sub-national level, and civil society organizations for program funding, technical support, and scientific exchanges. With more than 3000 hours of teaching and 500 hours of training sessions, he is an academician of international repute. Over the years, Dr Panda has led more than 20 research grants as PI and more than 5 grants as Co-PI, worth over INR 250 million; published about 30 high quality research papers in peer-reviewed journals; published more than 25 project reports; presented papers in many national/international conferences; organized, led and chaired international and national conferences; engaged with the governments at State and central level in numerous occasions; and led multi-centric studies in Odisha, Chattishgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra.
