Mitul Thapliyal is a Managing Partner at MSC (MicroSave Consulting), where he sets the firm’s global vision and strategic direction and oversees global operations. He brings over two decades of leadership experience advising governments, development agencies, multilateral institutions, philanthropic organizations, and private-sector entities.
Mitul’s work sits at the intersection of policy, technology, and society, with a strong focus on designing and implementing large-scale digital transformation agendas. His work increasingly focuses on how digital public infrastructure (DPI), data systems, and emerging technologies, such as AI, can strengthen public service delivery, improve system efficiency, and enhance outcomes across sectors.
He has played a central role in shaping strategies and programs related to digital governance, financial inclusion, public finance, agriculture, energy, health, nutrition, and climate.
His experience spans both high-level policy design and complex program execution across Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and Australia.
Mitul has served on several national and international committees and expert forums developing policies, standards, and solutions.
Before joining MSC, Mitul led the Management Consulting practice at Infosys Consulting, where he focused on smart cities, telecom, media, energy, and utilities. In that role, he advised governments and corporations on strategy, technology, innovation, and large-scale transformation programs.
