Inke Mathauer is a senior health financing advisor, working at WHO in Geneva since 2007, providing technical and policy advisory support to countries and engaging in capacity strengthening and normative work. She leads global work on strategic purchasing for universal health coverage as well as the global work on digital technologies for health financing. Inke also teaches on various university master courses on health financing and publishes on a wide range of topics. Earlier, she worked for the German International Cooperation (GIZ) and the World Bank in West and East Africa. Inke has over 25 years of experience and holds a MSc and PhD from the London School of Economics.
