Dr. Sudha Chandrashekar is a health economist and public health leader with over 25 years of experience in universal health coverage (UHC), health financing, and health systems strengthening across India and globally. She currently serves as Advisor at the Health System Transformation Platform and Senior Consultant to the World Bank in India and Ghana.
She previously held senior leadership roles as Executive Director, Health Policy and Hospital Engagement at the National Health Authority, Government of India, and as Director (Medical) at Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust, Government of Karnataka. She has advised multiple state governments on Ayushman Bharat–PMJAY implementation, health technology assessment, service delivery reforms, and performance improvement.
Prof. Chandrashekar holds a PhD in Health Economics from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and has contributed to policy dialogue, research, and capacity building initiatives in collaboration with national and international partners.
