Ms. Kanika Kalra is a legal professional specializing in national and global health laws. She holds an LL.M. degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Delhi, India, where she also pursued her bachelors in Philosophy.
Currently, Kanika serves as a technical officer (law and policy) with the AI and Frontier Technologies Unit, within the Department of Data, Digital Health, Analytics, and AI at the World Health Organization (WHO), where her work focuses on the governance and regulation of Artificial Intelligence in different facets of health. Kanika is leading the work on regulations, climate change and health, and health securities. Kanika works with the Global Initiative on AI for Health, a tri-partite collaboration between WHO, ITU, and WIPO.
