Dr. Thanasak Thumbuntu is a public health professional and dentist currently serving as Director of the Bangkok Regional Office of Thailand’s National Health Security Office (NHSO). He is also the Deputy Secretary-General of the Dental Association of Thailand. His work focuses on strengthening health systems governance, expanding access to oral health services, and advancing public health policy within Thailand’s universal health coverage framework.

Dr. Thumbuntu holds a master’s degree in Health Policy from the University of Edinburgh. Over the years, he has contributed to initiatives aimed at improving access to dental services, including establishing clinics, mobilizing resources, and supporting quality accreditation programs.

He is also an advocate for addressing environmental determinants of health, particularly the health impacts of air pollution. Through policy dialogue and public engagement, Dr. Thumbuntu works to mobilize the health sector in addressing environmental and public health challenges.
